May 1, 2016 · I've got this fault with gear selection on my 2008 EGS picasso. I've finally got a fault code P1704 - 'gear selector coherence fault'. Which apparently is "digital TRS faulted to transmit states in KOEO/KOER whatever the heck that means :/ also another one popped up briefly: P1715 but cannot find any reference to these codes on the site. Well took my car back to Citroen to try loading the software while the car was cold - didn't fix the problem. Citroen then told me they thought the car's clutch needed replacing but to do a proper diagnosis the would need to remove the gearbox - £350.00. If the clutch then needed replacing the total job - they estimated - would be £915.00!
